Iris Shows

  • MVIS Show Rules PowerPoint Presentation on how MVIS show rules including how to enter irises, how to fill out the tags and descriptions about the different sections.
  • Grooming Irises For the Show  PowerPoint presentation on how to groom irises for an AIS sponsored show.  The presentation includes description on the various methods of transportation and what the judges are expecting to see and what they don’t want to see.

Iris Care and Terminology

  • Growing Irises in the Desert Presentation on growing irises in the Las Cruces area.   This presentation has been given to local garden clubs including the Master Gardeners.  Presentation includes some iris terminology and resources in the local area.
  • Arils and Arilbreds Powerpoint presentation that is actually a bingo game about Arilbred irises.  It is both fun and informative.   The bingo cards have to be printed out too.  The pdf file for the bingo cards is included below.  Instructions are inside the powerpoint file. The presentation can also be viewed as a regular presentation
  • Arils and Arilbreds Bingo Cards  The bingo cards (3 per page) for the Arils and Arilbreds bingo game.
  • Dykes PowerPoint presentation that is actually a bingo game about irises that won the Dykes Medal.  It both fun and informative.  To use it as a game, print the Dykes Medal Winners List on page 7 and cut up and pull the irises randomly from a hat.  The bingo cards have to be printed out too.  The pdf file for the bingo cards is included below.  Download the PowerPoint file and run. Instructions are inside the PowerPoint file on how to display it and how to move to each winner.  Links to the winners are located one page 4.  You can print this page and cut up the irises and place in a bowl for random drawing.   The presentation can also be viewed as a regular presentation.
