The 2024 SFIS Iris Show was held at the De Vargas Mall in Santa Fe on May 18.The artistic design competition for SFIS is entitled “The Wonderful World of Disney”. It consists of the following classes:
- Encanto – La Familia Madrical “So many stars and everyone gets to shine”. Traditional Mass Design
- Pinocchio – I Got No Strings on Me. An arrangement in the oriental manner featuring wood in the design.
- Lion King – The Circle of Life. A modern arrangement incorporating circles in the design.
- The Little Mermaid – Under the Sea. An underwater design in which some or all plant material and other optional components are submerged in water.
- Snow White – Who is the fairest of them all? A design that contains reflective materials.
- The Jungle Book – I Wanna Be Like You. A parallel design in which 3 or more group of plants are featured in a strong parallel placement in single container and/or base.
- Mulan – Reflection. An arrangement in the Moribana style using a shallow container with water as a feature of the design.
- Tangled – I Got a Dream. A cascade design with emphasis on downward rhythmic movement. A minimum of components may extend upwards.
- Peter Pan – I Won’t Grow Up. Youth division. A design that captures the exuberance of youth.
