🌸 Announcing the Mesilla Valley Iris Society Annual Show! 🌸

Join us for the Annual AIS sponsored Iris Show hosted by the Mesilla Valley Iris Society! This exciting event takes place each year in mid-late April at the Mesilla Valley Mall near the theater.

🌼 Event Highlights:

Over 100 Iris Stalks: Members and the public bring in their beautiful iris stalks to be judged by trained judges of the American Iris Society.
Judging Criteria: The skill of the exhibitor is judged based on how well they groomed the stalk for the show and how well the iris was grown.
Ribbons Awarded: Several ribbons are awarded, with the prestigious blue ribbon given for first place. Only one blue ribbon is awarded per named cultivar, and it must be earned. The Best of Sections and Best of Show are chosen from the blue-ribbon awarded cultivars.
Iris Sale: After 1 PM, there will be 200 potted irises available for sale.

🌸 How to Participate:

Entry Time: Anyone can enter their irises into the show between 8 AM and 10:30 AM.
Requirements: The names of the irises must be known.

The Enchanted Vista Iris Society Annual Iris Show will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Sabana Grande Recreation Center, located at 4110 Sabana Grande Avenue, SE, Rio Rancho, NM. The event includes multiple divisions: horticulture, artistic designs (flower arrangements that must include irises), educational displays, and iris photography.

Public participation is encouraged in all divisions, with entries accepted from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The society will provide containers for the horticulture division. Judging will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and the show will be open to the public from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
