This month, we welcome Robert Treadway from Carlisle, Arkansas, a distinguished expert on Louisiana Irises. Robert Treadway is a master judge, life member of the American Iris Society (AIS) and the Society for Louisiana Irises (SLI), and has held numerous leadership roles in Region 22 and SLI. His dedication has been recognized with the Region 22 Betty Emmons Memorial Service Award and the SLI Distinguished Merit Award.
As an accomplished hybridizer, Robert Treadway has introduced several notable Louisiana Irises, including ‘Cypress Social’, ‘Delirious Delusion’, ‘Lust For Lime’, ‘M.D. Faith’, ‘Optical Illusion’, ‘Paper Parasol’, and ‘Violet Vision’. Both ‘Optical Illusion’ and ‘Violet Vision’ have received the Award of Merit Medal for Louisiana Irises.
Robert Treadway has written for the AIS Bulletin and presented to clubs and regional meetings nationwide. His program will focus on practical tips for growing Louisiana Irises.
